Apiary Visit for 2
Ready to learn more about the endlessly fascinating honey bee? Join us in the apiary for a hands-on look into a colony of honey bees. We provide you with beekeeping safety equipment and detailed information on what to wear and how to be safe in the apiary, and then we'll give you a truly memorable experience tailored to your own personal comfort level and interests.
No two apiary visits are alike, but during your visit you can expect to see up-close inside a honey bee hive and experience many of the components of a beekeeper's hive inspection. We'll expect to see worker bees, drones, brood, the colony’s food stores (it's not just honey in there!), possibly the queen, and fascinating behaviors like the "waggle dance". You'll learn about honey bees and apiary management as we go. Beekeepers love to talk about bees, so come with questions!
At the end of the experience, we’ll send you home with a complementary jar of this season’s honey and a few new stories to tell over dinner.
An apiary visits last approximate 1 hour and includes up to 2 people (you're going to want to share this with someone). Kids, 6 years and older, are welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible parent or guardian.

Whether it's a wedding, shower, staff party or just an individual thank you or birthday gift, let us know what you have in mind, and we can create a personalized gift box, bag or basket for any occasion using seasonally available products made at our Certified Naturally Grown apiary and thoughtfully packaged in recyclable and biodegradable materials. We can even include a gift card with your personal message.
Prices generally start at approximately $20 for a small gift bag or box, but vary based on the actually contents you'd like to include. We will work with you to identify a personalized gift or gifts that match your budget and need. Please note that available contents will vary by season, and gift baskets can require additional lead time.

Flight of Honey
For a limited period each year, Little Wren Farm offers this unique sampler of early, mid- and late-season raw, wildflower honey. Honey varies dramatically in appearance and flavor from season to season. These differences are influenced by many variables including the weather and changing nectar sources. People are often fascinated to discover the distinct differences and that they have a strong preference for honey from one season or another.
Included in this sampler are four, 5-ounce jars of honey (apple not included!). Each jar contains an early, mid, or late season honey and is labeled with the month it was harvested; the specific months may vary from year to year depending on variables that influence the bees' activities. We also include a card with some suggestions for enjoying your sampler.

Raw Honey in Muth Jar – 4 oz
Little Wren Farm's raw honey bottled in a 4-ounce, old-fashioned glass Muth jar and sealed with a cork and our own natural beeswax. These embossed jars make a wonderful gift and are a reproduction of the first jar used specifically for honey and popularized by Charles Muth in the 1800's.
The 4 oz Muth jar is our smallest and is approximately 4.5" tall. (The other two Muth jars that we sell are 8 oz and 16 oz, and they are approximately 5.5" and 7" inches tall.)

Beeswax Candles
Our beeswax candles are made with only natural beeswax from Little Wren Farm's Certified Naturally Grown apiary and cotton wicks. We use no chemical additives and, as always, there is no plastic in our packaging ~ just biodegradable materials.
When ordering beeswax candles, choose from the following shapes and sizes by using the drop down list below (and don't forget to check out all the photos!):
Star - This small star candle is a perfect gift for a holiday or special occasion. It measures approx. 2" in diameter.
Flower - Intricately detailed rose candle measuring approximately 2" in diameter.
Heart - Says it all. Measures approximately 2" across.
Pine cone - Gorgeous, small pine cone measuring approximately 1.75" in diameter.
Spiral taper (small) - A pair of spiraled tapers measuring approximately 3.5" in length.
Spiral taper (medium) - A pair of spiraled tapers measuring approximately 7" in length.
Birthday candles - A set of 10 birthday candles, each measuring approximately 3.5" in length.

Raw Honey with Honeycomb

A Word About Honeycomb: Do people really eat honey comb? Yes! Many people prefer to eat honey straight from the comb - beeswax and all. Toast your favorite bread, spread some butter on it while it’s still piping hot, and cut a small chunk of comb and spread it on the buttered toast… delicious! All Natural Beeswax Lip Balm
Little Wren Farm's soothing, all-natural lip balm made with our own natural beeswax from our apiary and organic ingredients. And it gets better! There is no plastic involved in this little package ~ just biodegradable materials so you don't have to worry about where this thing ends up when you're done with it.
When ordering, choose Peppermint or Orange Blossom.
Ingredients: Beeswax, jojoba oil*, sweet almond oil*, coconut oil*, raw shea butter* and orange or peppermint oil (*organic).
Pure Beeswax
Our 100% pure beeswax is derived from the beeswax cappings gathered as a part of the honey extraction process at Little Wren Farm's Certified Naturally Grown apiary. We use no chemical additives and, as always, there is no plastic in our packaging ~ just biodegradable materials.
When ordering beeswax, choose from the following shapes and sizes:
Small bar - This 1-ounce bar of pure beeswax measures approx. 3" x 1" x 0.75".
Small round - This 1/2-ounce bar of pure beeswax measures approximately 1.25" diameter x 0.75".
